Luke's 19 month stats:
Weight: 29 pounds 10 ounces (95%)
Height: 35.7 inches (99%)
Head: 19.0 inches (69%)
After the nurse got all of Luke's stats and was entering them into the computer she caught me off guard when she asked if we'd like to go ahead and schedule Luke's 2 year well check! It's right around the corner and having her ask that question made me realize just that and made me want to cry! Why do my babies have to grow up so dang fast?!
After the nurse left, Luke calmed down and had a fun time pushing buttons on the scale, climbing the chairs, and looking out the windows at the cars and birds. I filled out a couple of questionnaires on Luke's development and concerns. When Dr. Fullmer (and a doctor assistant) came in Luke tensed up and panicked again. He was something else to get looked over! Chad had to hold him the entire exam and I had to help hold him too. This kiddo is super strong and mean when he's mad haha. Dr. Fullmer gave Luke a clean bill of health and left him alone after that. We had a good talk with Dr. Fullmer about little Lu. We had a few concerns about Luke's patches of eczema and his grumpy bum attitude. We were assured that we're doing everything right and to keep doing what we've been doing. Luke's questionnaires went pretty well. He's doing great for his age but is a little bit behind with his speech. We were told what we can do to help in that area: talk to him more, read books, explain things, etc. I'm pretty sure Luke is going to start talking a lot more now since we took his beloved binky away about a week or so ago. I've already seen a difference. After Dr. Fullmer left the nurse came back in and gave Luke one shot in the leg, his last immunization until kindergarten. Boy did that make him mad!! We couldn't get him calmed down until we pulled out a yummy tootsie pop sucker for him and that did the trick! We love our big, strong, healthy, smart boy so much and we're so glad he had another great checkup with our favorite Dr. Fullmer! Way to go Lu!!
