2 Months Old

Seriously, another month has passed in the blink of an eye and our little Luke is now two months old!  He is the best little baby ever!  He is perfectly content with life and only fusses when he needs food or a diaper change.

Luke eats every two hours on the dot, which makes for fast days for me.  Maybe that's why two months have flown by so fast.  He nurses really well now but I must say it's exhausting.  It will be nice when feeding times get farther in between.  He wakes up twice during the night and has only slept an entire night once.  Between him and his big brother I feel sleep deprived! (Tyke will sleep through the night IF he's in bed with us, otherwise he gets up and sneaks in around 2 a.m. every night).

Luke loves bath time and enjoys just soaking in the water, kicking his chubby little legs and splashing around.  He also loves going for car rides but he HATES being put in his car seat.  He almost always cries but once we get him loaded in the car he usually calms down.  Another thing that Luke likes is the ceiling fans.  He will stare at them for long spans of time before getting distracted by his big brother.

Luke loves his binky but will only take the blue one they gave him in the hospital.  He doesn't like the others that we have bought and tried.  He sucks on his binky so hard that he has a hard time keeping it in his mouth which upsets pretty quickly.  Sometimes he'll shove his fist in his mouth to replace the lost binky but for the most part he just gets restless and then screams if we're not quick enough to get it back in.  If we are holding Luke and he has his binky it stays in perfectly but if he's lying down or sleeping the darn thing will NOT stay put.  It's the funniest thing, silly boy.  Occasionally our little guy finds his thumb but it just doesn't satisfy.  He also like to suck on his fists too.  It's adorable!

Luke is growing like a weed!  He is in 0-3 month clothing and some 3-6 month as well!  He is getting rolls on his legs and arms and his little belly is round as can be.  I love his chubbyness!  His little wrists are getting rolls too and his knuckles have the cutest little dimples.  Luke is still in size 1 diapers but they are getting more and more snug.

Looks wise our little guy changes everyday.  We can't decide who he looks like.  I see so much of Chad in him.  We've had a few people say he looks just like me.  Honestly sometimes I feel like his looks change from hour to hour, or depending on what angle you look at him.  Reguardless he's a handsome, sweet little thing and we just love him to pieces!

Luke's nicknames, thanks to us and big brother, are: Lukey-Duke, Lu-Lu (most popular, thanks to Tyke), Ba-Lu and Lu-lahoop.  Silly I know but that's him!  Tyke can't say Luke, it comes out Lu.  Tyke loves his baby brother and loves giving him kisses on the back of his head and getting in his face and giggling.  These boys are so lucky to have each other!  They're best of friends already and we love it!

Luke's hair is really starting to come in thick!  It's still mostly fuzz on top but the back is getting long.  His eyes are definitely blue, we can see that now instead of the grey that they were at birth.  They are the prettiest dark blue I've ever seen.  Especially now that his jaundice is clearing up, yay!  His skin tone is olive and his hair is dark.  I'm telling you, he's handsome!  Just like his big brother even though it's looking like they'll be exact opposites! (Tyke is blonde hair, brown eyes and pale skin).

Lu-Lu's little personality is starting to develop.  He's just recently started to coo and smile.  When he "talks" it surprises him and he gets a startled look on his face.  It's adorable.  His smiles are too cute and it looks like he might have a couple of dimples in his chubby cheeks.  Luke loves his big brother and watches him like a hawk sometimes!  Luke is in charge and he knows it.  He knows what he wants and communicates well to let us know.  He's such an easy baby!  He likes to lay in his boppy, sit up right, or just lay on the floor on his playmat and be left alone.  He also really likes to stare at the elk and the deer on our walls.  They make him happy.

We love our little Lukey-Duke and all of the snuggles that he gives.  He's the sweetest thing and I could just hold him all day long!
