Ick!

We caught the dreaded flu bug at our house over the holiday weekend.  Our Oregon girls had been sick and we just knew that we were bound to catch it.  Christmas morning when I got Tyke out of bed I thought he smelled a little like vomit.  I checked his bed, his blanket, and his clothing and found nothing.  He grinned at me and then started dry heaving!  I immediately ran him into our bathroom and held him over the sink.  He heaved a few times but never threw up and was fine after that.  After opening gifts and getting ready for the day, Tyke spit up a little bit, just baby spit though so I thought nothing of it.

Thursday the bug hit Chad and I.  Chad was at work when it hit him and he headed straight home.  As soon as he told me he was sick I started feeling not too great too.  Tyke was perfectly fine.  Chad spent the day in bed, well between bed and bathroom, and I spent the day on the couch.  Tyke was so good to entertain himself!  I turned on his cartoons, gathered his new Christmas toys from the front room into the living room, and got him some treats.  He played and ate and watched his shows.  He was seriously such a good boy!

After a few hours both Chad and I were feeling better but still not 100%.  Tyke threw up once that night but I really think it was from eating a mini M&M and not the flu.  He gagged pretty hard on it, he's still pretty new to the little chocolate candies.

It took a couple days to completely bounce back from the flu bug but we are finally back to normal at our place!
