We have been having so much fun with our elf friend Charlie. He's been a pretty nice elf and pops up in the most silly places. Tyke just loves him! He knows who Charlie is and when we ask where he is Tyke will look toward Charlie and point and smile. If Tyke can get his hands on Charlie he snuggles him up under his cheek and loves on him. It's adorable! We're halfway to Christmas (already!!) and here's what Charlie has been up to so far:
Day 1: He showed up under our tree with a pile of gifts for Tyke. The gifts were Christmas books! Tyke has been opening one daily and is loving getting practiced up for the big day.
Day 2: Charlie was found hanging on Tyke shelf with Tyke's hats and hoodies.
Day 3: Charlie showed up with a Christmas countdown and snuggled in one of our Christmas stockings!
Day 4: Charlie needed a snuggle from our snowman friend.
Day 5: Charlie mistook Chad's deer for one of Santa's reindeer or something. He was found sitting on top.
Day 6: Charlie couldn't make his way down off of the deer so he spent the day hanging out.
Day 7: Charlie had a fun night playing with Tyke's truck and blocks
Day 8: Charlie showed up wearing a new pair of snow boots, for Tyke!
Day 9: Charlie hung out with the Christmas cards (which we don't have many of hint, hint!)
Day 10: Charlie made his way to the table and planted himself on top of the centerpiece.
Day 11: Charlie moved a gift out from under the tree for Tyke to open. It was a gift from Chad and I to Tyke for Christmas. Charlie thought it best that Tyke open it now... (Side note: after Tyke opened his gift, a truck, I took Charlie and placed him in the windowsill. When Brooke and Callie Jo found out I had touched Charlie they freaked out and told me I had ruined him. Apparently touching our Christmas Elf makes his magic go away?? I didn't know!)
Day 12: Charlie picked out which gift Tyke would open today. It was a Naughty or Nice Report book with a little report card reporting what a good boy Tyke has been!
Charlie also got the mail and there was a letter from the North Pole! Tyke mostly listened while his Daddy read it to him, both the letter and the book. Yay for Christmas!!
