Today Chad had to work, boo! So while he was away Tyke and I went on a little walk to Grandma Jean's house! Tyke LOVED the walk! A little puppy dog ran towards us barking and Tyke got pretty excited about that. He kicked and squirmed and almost giggled. It was so warm today that by the time we got Grandma's house I was sweating and so was little man. Poor guy kept sneezing and had a horrible runny nose the whole time (we're thinking he may have allergies but we're not 100% sure yet, hoping that he doesn't). At one point his little sunglasses slid down his face and he sneezed and filled the lenses with snot. I think that was his way of telling me he doesn't like wearing them! But they look so cute on him, so I'll decide!
There was a yard work party going on at Grandma Jean's place. Grandma Cheryl was there and so were Blair and JaNae and kids. Tyke got super excited watching his grandma's play in the dirt. His legs and arms were just a waving and kicking and he was talking and giggling like crazy! Grandma Jean tried to convince me to put him down and let him play in the dirt but I refused. Tyke stayed excited and Uncle Blair finally grabbed him from me and took over. He sat Tyke on the grass and it didn't bother little guy at all. In fact it entertained him for a good five minutes! He kept moving his little hands over the grass checking out the texture like he does and then he finally figured out how to get a handful of the green stuff and pull it. He had a great time and if Blair would have had his way he would have put Tyke in the dirt too but I won that argument. =) Tyke and I had a good little visit and then headed back home to wait for Chad.
We had such a good day but we sure missed Chad and can't wait to take him on our next little adventure!
