Our little outdoors lover found his very first set of shed horns today! Grandpa Terry had mentioned to us that he noticed a set just north of the house, about 250 yards out, along his shooting range. We took Tykie for a little walk and there they were, plain as day, lying on the ground for him to pick up. He wasn't really sure what the big fuss was all about but finally grabbed them and immediately started banging them together while giggling excitedly. He was pretty proud of himself and so were we! Daddy carried the horns back to the house for Tyke, so he wouldn't trip and poke an eye out or something. Tyke picked up some sticks along the way and showed them to us with the same excitement he had had about the horns (pretty sure he didn't get the difference between the two). He was super proud to show his find to his Bampa! This little guy...he's going to be a great hunter!! Way to go Tyke!
