A Perfect Day

Today after work, the weather was perfect so we decided to dust off the bikes and the bike trailer and go for a quick bike ride down to the new park in town.  This little park is literally two blocks away from our house.  I just know that we are going to be spending lots of time there!  Luke was so grumpy before, during, and after the bike ride.  Once we got him calmed down and in a swing he was happy as can be!  It was his first official swing and bike ride today.  He loved the swing, the bike ride he didn't seem too impressed.  Tyke was adorable, holding Luke's hand while riding down the street.  He definitely takes good care of his little brother!  We swung on the swings and Chad and Tyke played on the merry go round toys.  We had fun!   

We didn't hang out too long before heading back home.  Luke was a little more calm on the ride home but still not his normal happy self.  Once we got home Tyke went wild playing in the back yard.  It was too beautiful of weather to go inside so I grabbed a quilt and layed it out on the lawn for Luke to chill and enjoy the spring air.  He was content as can be and we stayed outside the rest of the evening.  We played with the football and soccer ball, barbequed some chicken for dinner, and then called it a night close to 9 p.m.  The evening couldn't have been any more perfect!  It was a good day.  Life is good!
