3 Months Old

Our handsome little guy is three months old today!  It's been the fastest three months ever and sadly I'm officially off of maternity leave and back to work.  Luke (and Tyke) did really well on their first day at the babysitters, Grandma Cheryl's.  It wasn't a full day because I left work early due to no work but we all survived.

Mr. Lu-Lu is getting to be so much fun!  He talks a little bit and smiles a lot!  He smiles so big now that we can see dimples on his chubby cheeks (dimples just like mine).  His newborn cry is officially gone.  He kicks a lot lately and can't hold still at all.  He loves watching his big brother be wild and crazy and he grins and coos when Tyke pays attention to him.  Sometimes his big brother can be a little rough with him and there have been three times (that I know of) that Tyke has made him cry because he's been too wild.

Luke loves bath time and we have upgraded him to a big boy chair!  The baby bathtub was too big of a hassle and he didn't seem comfortable in it anymore.  He loves to sit in the warm water and kick his little legs like crazy.  As soon as he's soaped up and cleaned off I take him out of his chair and hold him tight while he sits in the "deep" water and kicks his legs like crazy.  He loves the water!

Luke is a strong little guy and can hold his head up so good.  He has a love hate relationship with tummy time and doesn't last very long.  He has kind of quit rolling over (from his belly to back) and will just lay and cry until someone rolls him over for him.  Luke loves laying on his belly if he's propped up enough that he can look around.  He also love to sit up like a big boy on our laps.  He likes to sit so big and just look around at everything going on in the world.

Luke is getting big!  When we had him at the doctors office a week ago (for his yucky cold) he weighed in at 13 pounds 14 ounces!  He has dimples and rolls all over his little body and I just love it!  He's currently wearing anywhere from 0-3 to 3-6 month clothes.  He wears size one diapers but as soon as we run out we're going to move him into size 2's and see how they work.  His eyes look like they're going to be blue!  They are a dark gray/blue right now and just pretty, er, handsome.

We love our chubby bubby so much!  I can't believe how fast time has flown by!  Luke brings our family so much happiness!  We love you Lu-Lu!
