Sick

We've been sick here at the Long household.  Chad and I have both had a cold and now our little Tyke man has caught it too.  His first little illness.  It's been so sad listening to him cough, sneeze and struggle to breathe through all the gunk built up in his little chest.  We've had the humidifier going and his bed is elevated to help him sleep more comfortably.  I've tried everything to get his nose cleaned out, including saline drops (which made him throw up, a lot!) and sitting with him in the bathroom with a hot shower going hoping the steam would break things up.  No matter how much we get cleaned out he still sounds stuffy.  He has been running a slight fever on and off too.  He's still a happy little guy for the most part.  He's been more whiny than normal but still melts our hearts with his smile.  The only great thing about him being sick is that he's more cuddly than normal.  I love when he snuggles onto my shoulder and grabs my hair or shirt and falls asleep.  Here's hoping this cold will leave us all soon!
