Our little guy sure is growing! Today was a bit of a sad day for me. I figured I'd try dressing Tyke in 0-3 month clothes, instead of his usual newborns, and they actually fit! The jeans are still quite big but this cute little vest and onesie fit perfect. Oh how I love my handsome boy!
Also, we ran out of newborn diapers. We actually ran out of them a few weeks ago but I couldn't stand the thought of moving him into size 1's so soon so we went and bought more newborns. Well, they're gone now and I really want to buy more newborns but I know it's time to move on. I'm having a love/hate relationship with diapers. Poor Tyke has a big belly and no bum. The newborn diapers fit his bum perfect but his waist tight. Size 1's fit his waist perfect but are super baggy in the bum so we've been having blowouts and leaks almost every time. I'm trying a few different brands to see if I can find something that works good for him.We scheduled Tyke to have his ultrasound on his kidneys done today. His appointment was set for 2 p.m. but the clinic called and asked if we could come at 1:30 so we did. Tyke did really well during his ultrasound. He jumped a little when Shari got him with the warm gel. We got to see his full bladder instantly and just as fast he emptied it so she only got one picture of that, which I guess was good enough. She checked his kidneys over good and said that from what she could tell everything is fine but we have to wait for the final word from the doctor. Tyke got a little fussy and squirmy halfway through his test but once he spotted the tv screen he calmed right down and zoned out. He was such a good boy!
When we got home we decided that today's weather was nice enough that we were going to get Tyke's stroller out and go for a little family walk. We went a few blocks and then headed back home. I think it's safe to say Tyke enjoyed his ride. It put him right to sleep and he stayed that way for a while longer after we got home. We're so excited for good weather so that we can go for nightly walks.
