Mother's Day 2014

I had a great mother's day this year!  It's still a little hard to believe that I'm a mommy finally but there is seriously nothing better!

I was spoiled by my boys, as always.  Chad cooked us a yummy breakfast of steak and eggs (my preggo request).  Tyke ate fairly well but he got really excited when Chad gave him a steak bone.  He was in heaven and Chad was super proud of his boy!  After breakfast Tyke came walking into the living room with a huge, proud grin on his face and a cute gift bag.  Inside were two pair of Nike flip flops.  Tyke was seriously proud as could be to give me my gift.  Chad gave me a one hour preggo massage gift certificate which I'm excited to use!  I was able to just relax and be lazy for the day.

Around noon we rode out to Nana's house to visit her and give her her gifts.  Chad had made a cute coat rack and we surprised her with a box full of blue balloons announcing that we're expecting another little boy!  She was shocked and so were Jenny and the kids.  We visited for a while before heading up the road to my parents house for a family BBQ.

We had a yummy lunch of BBQ chicken, salad, veggies and yummy potatoes.  For gifts, surprised Grandma Cheryl with a box full of blue balloons too.  It was fun teasing the family's for so long that we weren't going to find out, and then we did.  Their reactions were priceless!  Soon everyone went their separate ways and Chad, Tyke, Grandma and Grandpa and I headed down to Rick and Lucinda's for another dinner.  We were too full to eat but that didn't stop us from munching on the good food that had been prepared.  Quite a few Kay family members were able to make it to the dinner and it was fun visiting with everyone.  Tyke had a blast playing with Kayson.  The two of them were trouble and had so much fun exploring and snooping around Rick and Lucinda's house.  We had a hard time keeping track of them!

All in all it was a great day and I'm so thankful we were able to visit all of the special Mom's in our lives.  I'm thankful for their examples to me and all that I have learned and continue to learn from them to be a good momma.  I am beyond blessed to be Tyke's Mommy and I thank my lucky stars everyday that he's mine!  Happy Mother's Day 2014!
