Sunday Fun

After getting all of our "to do" list marked off we loaded up and headed to Mona to play at the park.  Before leaving town we got the fun idea to stop and grab some fried chicken and tater logs so we could picnic.  The weather was perfect and we found a spot in the shade with a bench.  We layed out a blanket and had ourselves a picnic.  Tyke was more interested in playing in the dirt than eating so we had a little bit of a struggle there.  After eating we got down to business and started playing on the playground.  To say that Tyke hates it would be an understatement!  He hates the swings and the slides and he only enjoyed the merry go round as long as he was on the ground pushing it.  I took him down a couple of slides and he was not thrilled about it.  Chad tried putting him on the merry go round and he didn't really like that too much either.  Once he was able to get his feet in the dirt and start pushing it for himself he was happy as could be.  I was nervous as could be.  I was holding my breath waiting for him to not let go of the bars and get dragged to the ground.  Luckily he didn't.  When we finally decided that it was time to go home Tyke put up a fight.  We eventually won, and he fell to sleep on the drive home.  We're looking forward to more time at the parks with our little Roni!
