Dr. Young called me this afternoon. It caught me off guard to be talking to her and not an assistant. She said that while she was happy that Tyke's ultrasound results were good, she was still concerned that we might be missing something. She said she had consulted with a few other doctors and they all feel that Tyke needs to have an MRI done to rule out any "solid" tumors. I was hesitant to agree with her but she sounded genuinely concerned and said she would really hate to miss anything. She transferred me to her receptionist to get things scheduled. Tyke will be having his MRI done on October 6 at 9:30 a.m. He will have to fast and be sedated for the procedure. I'm a little nervous of the thought of him being sedated. He has been sedated once before, when he had to have stitches in his eyebrow, and he had a hard time coming out of it. Once again I'm feeling nervous and anxious. Here's to more hoping and praying that nothing bad will be found on the MRI and that all will go well with the sedation. And here's to hoping that we can all relax and not stress out too much until October 6th comes.
-Update 9/24/15- MRI has been canceled. We're going to wait and see what this antibiotic does for Tyke and then go from there. Here's hoping that we don't have to reschedule!
