The past few weeks Tyke has been lucky enough to get to help Bampa Terry do chores, both morning and night, depending on if he's there in time or not. Yesterday after work I was lucky enough to tag along. Me and the kids (Tyke, Ellie Jo and Sophie) loaded up in Bampa's new four wheeler and went and picked him up at the shop and then went and moved water. Bampa did all the work while we sat and watched. The kids squealed and had a good time. At one point Ellie Jo told Tyke to be quiet and Sophie quickly followed with, "yeah, you're being annoying!" They love each other, really! After finishing up at the field it was time to go back to the house. Of course Tyke spotted the gas station right across the street and told Bampa he needed "eye-team!" so we had to turn around and stop for an ice cream. These babies are spoiled by their Bampa Terry! He has to have spent a small fortune on ice cream this summer. He definitely keeps the Park N Pump in business. We all enjoyed an ice cream, and the kids made a huge mess. I'm glad and proud that our little Tyke gets to tag along and learn to do chores with Bampa. I wish I would have taken the opportunity to do so too when I was a kid. Tyke loves it! This is what summer days should look like!
