Salamander!

Chad was mowing the lawn tonight and somehow managed to see a salamander struggling in the grass.  He was within inches of running it over.  He came in the house and got us to come and see.  Tyke was pretty excited about it until I put it in his hand and then he started to freak out a little bit.  I was afraid he was going to squish it like a bug (because he likes squishing bugs) but he was fairly gentle with it.  We put the salamander in a cup of water and sat it where he could do what he wanted.  When we checked on him later he was gone.
