Cherries

This week cherry season at our house officially started.  Chad, for the next couple of weeks will be working two jobs, his usual and "picking" cherries.  Week one is almost done and we sure miss him not being around as much.

Tonight after work, Tyke and I ventured north to go and see Chad.  We got to spend a couple of hours together doing some shopping and going to dinner.  At around 7:30 it was time to drop him off at the farm so he could start job number two.

While visiting Tyke got to go on a couple of "tractor" rides (I say tractors because I have no clue what the equipment's real names are).  Uncle Chris put Tyke right to work with helping unload the big bins of water.  I was a little nervous about our baby boy going for a ride but he loved it.  He was such a little snoop, as usual, and was grabbing at the steering wheel and knobs.

When it was time for Chad and them to get on their machines and get busy we followed along and watched.  Tyke got so excited seeing the trees shake.  He was even lucky enough to get to help his Daddy shake a few trees.  He thought he was pretty cool I'm sure, and I thought it was pretty cute how curious he was about what was going on.  This boy of ours enjoys everything we introduce him to.  He studies hard and gets excited about all of the new things in life.  After "working" on four or five trees it was time for Tyke to quite so that Chad could really get things going.  We watched for another few minutes and then headed home.  It was an adventurous night for our little Tykers!
